Meet Your Instructor -

Meet Your Instructor -

A person with short, wavy brown hair wearing a sleeveless gray top, blue jeans, and a gold necklace standing in front of an abstract, tie-dye style fabric background.

My name is Cristina Rago, a trans non-binary artist and workshop facilitator with a studio based in Wandsworth, London.

The goal of all workshops is to create a space for play and exploration in a lighthearted atmosphere. I am always present to assist and help throughout the workshop, moving around to tables, and offering gentle advice if needed. The aim is to lead with encouragement, promote joyful bonding experiences, and support animated conversations amongst attendees.

In my own practice, I found that the act of stitching, sewing, and adhering scrap pieces of fabric together is akin to the act of mending oneself. The use of textiles weaved an intentional slow-paced approach to my work that allowed for an intuitive incorporation of text. I look forward to working with individuals who have an eagerness to nurture their creativity in similar ways.
