Pride Collective Textile Installation

How can collective making help us feel seen, connected, and part of something larger?

Date: Tuesday and Wednesday 9-10 June
Time: 11:00 - 15:00
Price: Free
Location: Republic London

Join artist and facilitator Cristina Rago for a free participatory textile workshop and evolving installation exploring themes of belonging, visibility, identity, and collective care during Pride Month.

Across two drop-in workshop days, students and staff are invited to create small stitched textile pieces responding to prompts around connection, community, memory, and shared experience. Individual contributions will gradually form a larger collective installation displayed within the Republic campus, allowing the voices and experiences of participants to emerge together over time.

The workshops are designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and accessible to all experience levels. Alongside textile making, participants are encouraged to reflect on the significance of Pride Month and the role creativity can play in building empathy, visibility, and community across diverse backgrounds.

No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided.
