Queer Stitch & Sip: Monthly Textile Workshop
A monthly space to stitch, explore, and return to, with new themes and techniques each session.
Sunday, 26 April 2026 | 2:30-4 PM | AYA & SUKI
Join us for a relaxed, queer-friendly textile workshop centred around slow making, creative exploration, and connection.
About the Workshop
This ongoing monthly workshop invites you to explore embroidery and textile collage through guided prompts, intuitive making, and simple techniques.
Each session offers a slightly different theme, so whether you’re joining for the first time or returning, there’s always something new to explore. You might work with text, symbols, colour, or abstract forms, using scrap and reclaimed materials to create something personal to you.
The focus is on process over perfection, with space to experiment, reflect, and develop your own approach over time.
Returning to the workshop?
Each session introduces new prompts, materials, and techniques, so you can continue building your skills and developing your style. This is a space you can come back to regularly as part of your creative practice.
Themes & Prompts
Each session includes optional creative prompts to support your process. These may explore:
Seasonal themes and transitions

You’re free to follow the prompts or work more intuitively.
Techniques Covered
Techniques will vary each month, but may include:
Introductory and intermediate embroidery stitches
Textile collage and layering
