Rooms We Carry: Stitching Memory into Space
What rooms stay with us after we leave them?
Date: Sunday 14 June
Time: 14:00 - 16:00
Price: Free
Location: WIP Space Studios, Wandsworth
A reflective textile workshop exploring memory, domestic spaces, and belonging through stitch and shared conversation.
Inspired by the rooms, thresholds, and temporary spaces that shape our lives, this workshop invites participants to reflect on the environments that hold personal meaning. Through hand-stitching, textiles, and gentle prompts, we will explore how spaces can carry memory, connection, comfort, change, and identity.
Participants will create a small textile piece responding to a room, object, fragment, or feeling connected to home and shared living. The session focuses on process over perfection, offering a relaxed and supportive environment for both experienced makers and complete beginners.
Rooted in themes of care, community, and queer domestic life, this workshop creates space for slow making, reflection, and conversation.
All materials are provided.
